Sinopsis

Hosseini’s first novel takes place in Afghanistan and spans over several decades. The story follows the life of Amir, a young boy from a wealthy family, and his friend Hassan, the son of his father's servant. He also sheds light on the cultural and historical context of Afghanistan, including the impact of the Soviet invasion, the rise of the Taliban, and the mass exodus of Afghan refugees to the United States. Author creates atmosphere that is tasteable. Imagery superb and action moves at a great pace. Highly readable. Once I had read it, I went in search for everyhing else Hosseini has published.
