Small ink blot p. 199. Two bottom corners a little chipped (pp. 157-160) but first might be paper defect. Nothing that affects text. The author describes: his first meeting with the Tsilhqot'in (Chilcoaten) chief Klatsassan; Klatsassan's tribe; romantic scenery; "Indian Ruffianism;" the native way of life; salmon, etc. Basically an account of an Aboriginal attack on new immigrants in 19th century BC.
