Sobre este artículo

Leipzig: Verlag von Otto Spamer, 1878. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Red cloth with black lettering and rules. viii, 158pp, (2pp ads). Tissue-guarded chromolithograph frontispiece, numerous illustrations and figures, plans, large (17" X 14¼") chromolithograph laid in loose. Very good overall. Tight and nice, only flaw a homely 3½" water line at upper right of front board; nonauthorial Christmas 1912 gift inscription auf Deutsch on half-title page. A tight and nice first edition of this collection of children's craft projects, entirely in German. Title translation: "The Little Paper Worker. Instructions for Making All Kinds of Paper Work, Mounting Maps and Plans, Making Boxes, Cases, and so on." The rarely-present accompanying color print noted on title page is present and lovely, a bright chromolithograph which when cut out, folded and assembled creates a "Modellir-Carton, Puppen-Stube, (Theater.)" -- basically a paper mock-up of a small puppet theater. Original folds archivally strengthened on verso; single ¼" near center at right. Hugo Elm (1843-1900) authored this and a number of similar titles. A scarce title seldom found with the color print.
