In this book, the author tells the story of the lacemaking villages of Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Nottinghamshire, from the earliest beginnings of the craft. Practical tips are also given on how to protect and use old vellum prickings, and a selection of antique prickings is provided for the reader to try. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
