New York: Longmans, Green, and Co., 1910. No dust jacket. Some shelf wear and scuff, this edition remains perky. The corners are a bit bumped but not too worn down and there is some rub to the covers the green cloth over boards has a black inlay illustration. A former owner has written his name on the inside cover page in fountain pen. The pages are certainly clean and presentable, though there are pages here and there that have a bit more age spots than others the page edge looks a little scuff. The back cover has a slight forward lean. Enjoy this antique as an economical price.. Hardcover. Good.
Sinopsis
The Lady of the Lake marked the pinnacle of Scott's popularity as a poet. With 25,000 copies sold in eight months, it broke all records for the sale of poetry. Known as a romantic poem, it tells about love and honor amidst a bitter rivalry between King James V and the Douglas family. The book is set in the Trossachs region of Scotland and it is composed of six cantos, each concern the action of a single day.
