Handling wear to the cover, bumping to the corners and spine, a couple of small stains to the front board and some staining to the edge of the backboard. Inside the book has foxing to the end-papers, some staining to the back end-papers, the frontispiece is quite loose and the former owners name, address and date on the front end-papers, half-title and the back of the frontispiece. The pages have a few patches of foxing and a couple of dirty smudges, but overall remains clean and free from markings or inscriptions.
Sinopsis
The Lady of the Lake marked the pinnacle of Scott's popularity as a poet. With 25,000 copies sold in eight months, it broke all records for the sale of poetry. Known as a romantic poem, it tells about love and honor amidst a bitter rivalry between King James V and the Douglas family. The book is set in the Trossachs region of Scotland and it is composed of six cantos, each concern the action of a single day.
