Frederick Warne, 1896. Hardcover. Good. 1896. Third edition. 368 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Laminateds brown cloth covered boards with gilt. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding slightly loose. Some tape repairs to gutters. Boards have heavy shelf wear with bumping and fraying to corners and crushing, fraying and tearing to spine ends and edges. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering to spine is slightly dulled. Book has slight forward lean.
Sinopsis
On a wintry morning at the close of 1690, the sun shining faint and red through a light fog, there was a great noise of baying dogs, loud voices, and trampling of horses in the court-yard at Wildairs Hall; Sir Jeoffry being about to go forth a-hunting, and being a man with a choleric temper and big, loud voice, and given to oaths and noise even when in good-humour, his riding forth with his friends at any time was attended with boisterous commotion.
