Includes one of the fly leaves of the very scarce dust wrapper.This biographical work was written by Nina H. Kinnard, an author known for her biographies such as 'Mrs. Siddons' and 'Rachel'. This work provides an insight into the life of the journalist and author Lafcadio Hearn, detailing his life in Japan and his family. The work also contains a selections of letters written by Hearn to his sister. In the publisher's original cloth. Includes one of the fly leaves of the very scarce dust wrapper. Externally very smart with fading to the spine, rubbing and slight bumping to the extremities and wear to the head of the rear board. Hinges starting. Internally firmly bound with clean and very lightly age toned pages. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
