Sobre este artículo
Lamb in His Bosom 1st edition, 1st printing. Book only. This extremely rare example of the first edition, first printing of Lamb in His Bosom is much desired by those who collect Pulitzer Prize for fiction winners. It is in very good or better condition. The title page shows the 1933 date followed by the copyright page which states first edition with the H-H underneath, as required. The book appears to be unread. The binding is tight, the gold leaf title on both the front and spine of the book is bright. There is light foxing and no tears.
An attractive Grosset & Dunlap dust jacket, which has been resized to fit the smaller original printing and enclosed in a protective sleeve, is included. This dust jacket looks like the original first edition jacket. There is a stamp on the front free endpaper stating "Return to Mrs. Alexander McCallum, Mendocino, CA". Daisy McCallum, nee Kelley (1859 1953) was a prominent figure in Mendocino known for her cultured salons and horticultural expertise especially with roses. There is both The Kelley House Museum and the McCallum House which is now a B&B.
