Text is age toned. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean and unmarked. ~P~ Hermine Lecomte du Nouy (1854-1915) was a French woman of letters, authoring some 15 works. One of her first novels, Amitie Amoureuse [Friendship Love], published in 1896, was a worldwide smash success. Thus, many of her later works, including this novel, were attributed 'par l'auteur de Amitie Amoureuse.
