Light foxing to titlepage, otherwise internally clean. A near fine copy. In the original printed dust jacket, in very good condition. A rare narrative of an expedition undertaken by August Sandberg, L.D. Douglas, and the author in 1911-12, down the Athabasca and Mackenzie rivers, to Great Bear Lake, Dease River, Dismal Lakes, and the Kendall River to Coppermine River. Includes "an account of the wintering at Great Bear Lake, and a second journey down the Coppermine to its mouth; descriptions of the routes (with map), natural history, Indians and Eskimos; the hunting and geological observations and prospecting especially in the Copper Mountains" - ARCTIC BIBLIOGRAPHY.
