Owner's stamp on front fly, extremities modestly worn, else a near fine copy lacking the dustwrapper. Noted for writing about the lives of French Canadians, this volume of short stories contains some of his best work and was the basis for the 1922 silent film starring Agnes Ayres and Theodore Kosloff.
