With 416 pages that have black-and-white illustrations and 32 pages that have full color illustrations, this hefty volume features critical essays and articles by such renowned, international art historians as Henri Stern, Josephe Jacquiot, Wilhelm Staude, Jeannine Auboyer, Raymond Lantier, Ole Klindt-Jensen, Gaston Wiet, Sophie Essad-Arseven, Sirapie Der Nersessian, Philippe Stern, Madeleine Paul-David, Jean Hubert, Evelyn King, Lydie Huyghe, Marcel Aubert, Louis Grodecki, Paul Deschamps, Adeline Hulftegger, and the general editior, René Huyghe. Illustrations and text include matching numbers for the reader's convenience. The book is in Fine condition with a Near-Fine dust jacket (click on photo). The book is bound in black, paper-covered boards with die-stamped gilt spine titles. The dust jacket has some edge rubbing, and several small closed tears and tiny chips. I've placed the dust jacket into an archival Brodart protective sleeve. The binding is tight and secure. The pages are clean and bright throughout, with no stains, tears, marks, or signatures from former owners. The book measures 8 1/2 by 11 3/4 inches. This book is in the five-pound shipping weight range. Although I will not be charging extra shipping for domestic Media Mail, those buyers who prefer Priority Mail will be required to pay extra shipping costs.
