Sobre este artículo
New York: William Morrow & Company , 1957. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Good+. Translated from the Danish by Estrid Bannister. Jacket edge-worn along top front and head and tail of spine but protected in Brodart. The dj cover is a striking green photo of a headhunter in-full-dress, the title and text are clear and bold. The book is splendid inside and out, no markings, no soiling, the covers are unbumped, the gilt lettering and design is as new, there is a fading of the green covers around the edges that perfectly fades to a gold, almost looks original and is quite attractive, (I could only tell with another copy to compare), there is a very neat owner's stamp opposite first title page. Whistle-clean, this remarkable book is the first ever written by the famous young Danish explorer, Jens Bjerre. Assumed first American edition.
