DJ white with coloured illustration to match book cover. A special Dominion Day picnic in the 1880s, highlighted by a balloon ride and a visit from Sir John A. MacDonald. B & W illustrations by Lewis Parker. Leslie McFarlane's writing career included children's books, including some of the Hardy Boys series, short stories, television plays and documentaries, and a Cannes Film Festival award in 1947 for "The Boy Who Stopped Niagara". 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
