New York: The Macmillan Company, 1940. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition; the great Irish poet had died the previous year. This collection contains "Purgatory," perhaps his bleakest play. Green cloth binding with a blindstamped decorative cover. Clean text; 126 pages. Lighly rubbed at the margins; some faint stains visible at certain angles; lacking the dustjacket. A solid copy; less common than would be expected. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
