This book is in good condition. Moderate bumping to both ends of spine. Minor sunning on top edge of book. Minor staining on bottom edge of textblock. Book is cocked causing overbite to textblock. Rear hinge cracked. Dust jacket is in fair condition. Moderate chipping to both ends of spine and around all edges of jacket. Heavy sunning to spine. Original 2.50 price on front flap.

The novel is set in 1915, when the first motorized vehicle was driven into Native American territory. It concerns a boy named Laughing Boy who seeks to become an adult who can be respected among his Navajo tribe.
