Cleveland, OH: Napoleon Hill, 1925. First Edition. Good. Incomplete. First edition of the incredibly rare 1925 version of Napoleon Hill's Law of Success. An incomplete set with eight volumes only [of 15, according to Wikipedia; other sources mention 16], including Lessons 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. Bound in publisher's original black pebbled semi-flexible boards. Good to Fair. Evidence of old moisture contact and damage affecting some volumes more than others, with some old mildew staining and spotting from this present. Covers worn with titles mostly rubbed, some splayed a little, pages are mostly clean but with a few pencil markings. Staining to top edge of one volume.
Prior to the 8-volume 1928 expanded edition, Hill self-published this work as found here in fifteen volumes. It is rumored that only 118 sets were originally printed. Volumes from these 1925 sets are extremely rare to market.
Sinopsis
Napoleon Hill (October 26, 1883 – November 8, 1970) was an American author who was one of the earliest producers of the modern genre of personal-success literature. His most famous work, Think and Grow Rich, is one of the best-selling books of all time. Hill's works examined the power of personal beliefs, and the role they play in personal success. He became the advisor to President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933-36.
