Octavo, viii, 199pp. Navy blue cloth, title in gilt on spine, border stamped in blind. No additional printings listed. Solid text block, bumped corners, wear to spine, toning to top edge. From the University of Cincinnati Robert S. Marx Law Library, with library label remnants on spine and stamps to title page. Signed by the author on the half title "Richard Harris... with the author's best regards. March 1905." Alfred Henry Ruegg (1854-1941) was a judge in the Birmingham and North Staffordshire County Courts for over thirty years. Ruegg was also a well-known antiquarian, favoring legal volumes and detective fiction.
