Thick beige clothbound hardcovers with beautifully gilt embossing on cover, with a gilt title on leather label. The cover is quite soiled and dusty. Bumped corners. Extra wear and rubbin on spine, which also bears library label. Gilt page tops, other page edges are rough cut. Front hinge is cracked/detached, along with the pages up until the title page. Back hinge is also cracked, but not detatched. The binding of the pages themselves is reasonably tight. Lavishly illustrated. Many beautiful plates.
