Plaintext dustwrapper with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Set in the West Highlands of Scotland and in the village of Laxdale, where the villagers and the residents, not to mention the visitors, of Laxdale Hall, are individual if not to say eccentric. This is their tale. Softening and discolouration to the back strip edges with rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Shipping of the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Creasing of the dustwrapper edges with small closed tears to the top edge. Rubs, stains and very noticeable sunning of the rear panel and heavy fading of the back strip. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series.
