With an engraved title page by W. Archibald. 'The Lay of the Last Minstrel' is a famous narrative poem by the renowned Scottish writer, Sir Walter Scott. The poem, set in sixteenth century Scotland, is narrated by a medieval minstrel. Sir Walter Scott is best known for his notable works of Scottish literature such as 'Ivanhoe', 'The Lady of the Lake', and 'Rob Roy'. In half calf binding. Externally, smart with some rubbing to the extremities. Spine is slightly darkened. Marks to the boards. Some offsetting to the paste-downs and light spotting to the paste-downs and free endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages age-toned but otherwise generally bright and clean with some light spotting towards the front and rear of the book. Spotting slightly heavier to the title page. Very Good
