Sobre este artículo
New York and London: Harper & Brothers Publishers,, 1923. First edition, first printing, inscribed by the author on front free endpaper "Yours for peace Irving Fisher October 1924", possibly for Homer Lawrence Morris, professor of economics at Earlham College, with his posthumous bookplate to front pastedown and pencilled signature to front free endpaper. Fisher's World Peace proposals, giving his arguments in favour of joining the League of Nations, are summarized in the present work, which was originally submitted for a $25,000 book contest. Fisher aimed to review the question of the American attitude towards world affairs following the First World War, and to establish certain conclusions 'which all who are willing to face the facts can accept' (preface). The book was condensed and reissued in 1924 under the title America's Interest in World Peace. Octavo. Original blue cloth, spine and front cover lettered in gilt. Spine a little rubbed with small chip, contents gently toned; a very good, square and tight copy. Fisher P735.
