This is book details the events of a twelve-man Special Forces team that was inserted into a small clearing in the jungles of Cambodia in 1968 that was surrounded by North Vietnamese troops. When the rescue call went out SSG Benavidez was on the 240th Assault Helicopter to assist and orchestrate a defense saving the troops. Benavidez was baynoeted, shot, and hit with grenade shrapnel yet kept fighting. Based on new records and interviews the author has created a riveting narrative of the events of that day and of his life and career. He was later honored with the Medal of Honor for his actions that day. A clean very presentable copy.
