Inscribed on the preliminary blank to The Earl Howe, from the Author. The Earl Howe is likely Richard Curzon-Howe, the first Earl Howe, 1796-1870. And with the bookplate of Victor de Guinzbourg on the front pastedown.
Edges and hinges lightly rubbed , else this is a very good copy.
