London, 1879. Book. Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 4to. 828 pages; colour flags frontispiece, numerous illustrations in text and full page.. Handsome half leather binding, gilt lettering to the spine, with gilt ruled compartments and detail to raised bands, green leather spine label, binding firm very good with a little rubbing. Contents clean and tight, clean endpapers with leather bookplate belonging to John Smith, first and last few pages are foxed, but internally very clean and unmarked. A very good copy..
