Sobre este artículo

London: Collins and Harvill Press, 1960. [Modern Literature] UNCORRECTED PROOF. Octavo (21 x 15cm), pp.[4] 255 [5]. Publisher's blue machine-marbled card covers. With the dust-jacket illustrated by Hans Tisdall, priced at 16s. Shows a minor lean, with spotting to edges and spine, otherwise internally clean. Jacket slightly sunned to spine, with some wear to head and tail. Very good. Widely considered one of the most important novels in Italian, 'The Leopard' was only completed days before the author's death in 1957. It concerns the fortunes of a noble family in Sicily during the final stages of Italy's Risorgimento, and was later made into a film starring Burt Lancaster (1963).

Sinopsis

GIUSEPPE DI LAMPEDUSA  was born in Sicily in 1896 and died in 1957. The Leopard was his only novel.
