The report proposes a series of forts along the frontier to "maintain peace among the Indians, and protect the emigrant and feebler tribes against the stronger and more warlike nations that surround them". Included are 3 tables giving populations of 61 tribes, & estimate of number of warriors, & includes many tribes moved to Indian Territory. Good+. Lacking the folding map.
