A two volume set which comes from the larger set, The Works of Charles Lamb. Volume one has a calling card tipped in that says "Miss Frick." Four slits have been cut into the first black page to accommodate the calling card.Three quarter red leather on marbleized paper. Spine has five hubs, four gilt devices and text in gilt. Marbleized end sheets which match the covers. 422 pp. and 388 pp. Indexed. A pleasing pair of books with light rubs on the extremities. One board was cleanly detached and has been professionally reattached. Full refund if not satisfied.
