Whittingham, Printer, Desn Street." * The "Junius Letters" appeared anonymously between 1768 and 1773. They were published in various newspapers before being gathered together. They were political letters, opposing the policies of the king and the government. Their authorship has never been definitely proven, but Sir Philip Francis is a strong candidate. This edition contains all the letters of Junius, Philo Junius, and of Sir William Draper and Mr. Horne to Junius, with their respective dates, and according to the order in which they appeared in the Public Advertiser. - See COPAC .
