Joints cracked with covers firmly attached, gilt faded, spine ends rubbed with slight loss & corners rubbed. Interior hinges & text are tight, clean & intact. Illustrated with 36 folding engraved plates (13 for volume I and 23 for volume II) , as well as many inset tables and a nice vignette of Prévost at the head of the first preface.
