London: Henry G. Bohn, 1857. lvi, 336 pp. 27.5 x 20 cm. Black cloth covered boards, all edges gilt; 61 engraved plates including engraved additional title page. Book has been recased in modern cloth covered boards, and shows signs of once having had a spine remnant or other spine lable laid down on spine, but no longer extant. Some rubbing and light nicking to spine ends. Binder has used green cloth-patterned paper for front and rear endpapers, with presumed original marbled free endpapers still intact. Cracking along front and rear joints of endpapers, although text block is still holding very firmly. Foxing to some of the plates. Binding firm. Due to the size and weight of this book, additional shipping may be required for expedited and international orders. . Hard Cover. Very Good.
