The author assembled this superb collection over many years, including some of the finest books on travel, architecture, art, archaeology, costume, commerce, history, politics of the Ottoman Empire, the Levant, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, in 1515 lots, each with a description such as number of plates, importance, etc. Beautifully illustrated and an excellent reference.
