Alexandra Mikhailovna Kollontai (1872-1952) - Russian revolutionary, writer, feminist, Soviet statesman and diplomat. In 1917-1918. She was People's Commissar of State Charity in the first Soviet government, making her the first woman minister in history. Ambassador of the USSR in 1922-1945, in Norway, Mexico, Sweden. Author of many books and articles, scientific, journalistic, artistic. Condition: pre-revolutionary stamps, slight soiling. Owner's inscription on the reverse of the title. Rare book.
