Dark blue cloth, light blue titles, and dustjacket with pictorial vignette of birds to front. 385pp. With 44 illustrations in text, including b&w photos, maps and line drawings, as well as many tables. Mainly concerned with adaptations to extreme conditions and ecology of birds in arctic and sub-arctic Siberia / Russia. This copy belonged to the ecologist and ornithologist Bryan Sage: his bookplate inside front cover. Very Good in Very Good jacket. Light browning to lower cover edges, brown spotting and light rubbing to jacket edges and back margin.
