Folio (8-1/2" x 13") bound in full "blond" English buckram lavishly stamped in bright gold leaf, with beveled edges. The Arden text, edited and introduced by Herbert Arthur Evans with a prefatory note by Mark Van Doren. Copy #39 of 1500 numbered copies illustrated with tipped-in color plates after paintings by Fritz Kredel based upon the film version of the play created by Laurence Olivier. Perhaps most famous for its "Band of Brothers" speech, often used to arouse patriotism: "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers." Issued unsigned. Monthly Letter laid in.
