Sobre este artículo

New York: Boni & Liveright, 1925 Hard cover, 8vo., pp xiv [4] 526. In publisher's black cloth binding with gold lettering and decoration blocked to spine. CONDITION: Near Fine. Former owner's signature, dated 1926, to ffep.. Some pages unopened. No signs of foxing, very clean. Lacking dust jacket. Small "bubble" to back cover. ** The famous 1759 picaresque novel by Laurence Sterne is a highly readable "autobiography" of an educated man well-versed in Latin authors such as Horace and yet aiming to "chat" with the reader in a colloquial way. Like "Don Quixote", the novel is really much ado about nothing, and it has entertained readers for over 250 years.** Laurence Sterne (1713-1768) was an Anglo-Irish priest and novelist famous for two classic novels, "Tristram Shandy" and "A Sentimental Journey Through France and Italy" (1768). ** Boston publishers, Boni and Liveright, published some of the most important authors of the modernist era, before going bankrupt in 1929. OCLC 973465. . Hard Cover. Near Fine.

Sobre Dark and Stormy Night Books

Now in our eighteenth year, Dark and Stormy Night Books is an online bookstore,
selling Rare, Antiquarian and "other interesting finds" to individuals and institutions around the world. Some of our books are now housed among the world's leading libraries and collections.

We work to promote the significance of a wide variety of ideas, from whatever era they might originate. We celebrate, and work to preserve, the artistry of the printed page, the handwritten word, and the craftsmanship of the hand-made object in today's virtual, digital world.
