John Eadie, dated 1863; pp. 928, lithographic plates throughout some within decorative borders, engraved title page printed in red and sepia, tinted buff, letterpress title page, frontispiece plate. Original yellow coated endpapers, all edges gilt. Original black morocco binding with gilt lettering and decoration, further blind stamped decoration; binding very good and strong with a little general wear and some rubbing to extremities and joints, slight worm damage, very slightly chipped to the head of the rear joint. Contents clean and tight, previous owner's neat signature and address, one crossed out, end papers a little dust marked, very small water stain to the base of the engraved title page and frontispiece, paper slightly toned, otherwise unmarked.
