The Life of Our Lord is a book about the life of Jesus of Nazareth written by English novelist Charles Dickens, for his young children, between 1846 and 1849, at about the time that he was writing David Copperfield. The first American trade edition after a limited edition. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Hard Cover. First edition / printing stated, same dates no others noted. An account of the life of Jesus Christ written in 1849 by Dickens for his children. While Dickens' did not wish it to see print the novelist's oldest son saw no reason not to publish it after his own death if the majority of the family agreed to do so.
