Sobre este artículo
New York: Thomas Kelly, 1877. First Edition . Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 440pp., (i). Bound in original, decorated brown cloth, including bright gilt decorations to spine and front cover. All edges gilt. Lovely frontispiece of Pius. Nicely illustrated in black and white. Binding a bit cocked. Several small bumps to extremities of volume, with light to medium wear spots in places to exterior, though none of this is offensive. Label to front paste-down with "Collection of J. Gilmary Shea" printed on it. Several small holes and damaged areas to front free endpaper. Several leaves a little tenderly attached at gutter, including early matter, frontis., and title-page. Ink-stamp to verso of title-page; else, no other library markings to volume. Text clean. Mild foxing to interior in a few places. Overall, a nice, clean, sound and attractive copy
