In addition, tipped in from other sources, are a number of colour portrait plates, most of them being handprinted mezzotints. Period binding, presumably by the publishers, of three quarter brown crushed morocco with raised bands, gilt decorations and rules, marbled endpapers, cloth sides, top edges gilt.Armorial bookplate on each pastedown. Some minimal rubbing to edges of covers. A fine set.
