The library card holders mounted inside each back board. Embossed library stamp on each volume title page. Each inscription page has a library number in pen. Matching red Moroccan half binding with marbled boards. Matching marbled end papers. Front and back boards are bright red leather, all 3 volumes have burgundy spines with 5 raised bands and gilt. Each book top edge is gilded with rough-cut leading edges. Vol I spine top edge and all corners are heavily worn missing leather. Vol II spine has a 1" piece of leather missing and all corners and spine edges heavily worn. Vol III is in best condition of the set with less worn edges and corners. All pages intact and spines are tight.
