Sobre este artículo
Norwalk, CT: Easton Press. Near Fine. 1859 (2017). Limited Edition. Hardcover. Originally published by Robert M. DeWitt, Publisher of New York in 1859 this is a high quality facsimilie reprint beautifully done by the Easton Press in a LIMITED EDITION of 600 copies, of which this is # 137. Apparently produced by the publisher originally to meet the demand for information on the daring raid that abolitionist John Brown (1800 - 1859) conducted on Harper's Ferry in an attempt to foment a slave rebellion in the United States. This Easton Press edition is finely in their hallmark full brown leather binding with raised spine bands with five compartments. Cover and spine decorations are in 22 kt gold, all edges are gilt. The book has silk moire end papers with silk ribbon bookmark, and is printed on archival acid-free paper with smyth sewing. This Limited Edition also comes with a brown decorated slipcase. This is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, and there is no owner bookplate. This copy appears to have been unread and would make a wonderful addition to any library or suitable for presentation as a gift.
