Beautiful three quarter leather binding with marbled paper insets to boards, the same marbled paper endpapers, and the edges of the text block marbled to match. Stunning. Elaborate gold tooling to spine, red title patch for "Irvings Works" and dark green leather title patch for title and volume number; title patch with volume on Volume III has a small divot where it was bumped. Slight scuffing to boards and spine. Heavily illustrated and clean within. This is an ex-library set with small stamps withing, checkout card and date due slip pasted to rear endpapers. This is the "Sunnyside Edition" of Irving's Works.
