William Ewart Gladstone was a British liberal and earlier conservative politician. His career lasted over sixty years and he served as the British Prime Minister on four separate occasions. The shilling edition of this work. Written by John Morley, a Liberal statesman, writer and journalist. In a quarter calf binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with minor rubbing to the spines, mostly to the head, tail and raised bands. Bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with spotting to the first and last few pages and the odd spots throughout. Very Good Indeed

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
