The works written by himself at the age of 73, and the life, with such of his Philosophy as is the gift of Age and Experience taken down and here edited by Ethelreda Lewis. The forward written by John Galsworthy. Book 1: The Ivory Coast in the Earlies: the narrative of a boy trader's adventures in the 1870's, through which runs the strange thread that is History-meagre, but all that is available-of a young English Gentlewoman. Trader Horn died of Pnuemonia, in London, on June 24, 1931, aged 82 years. Forward written by John Galsworthy Good/No dust jacket, marbled pink & brown cloth w/moderate wear to edges & corners, fading to edging, owner's name on front endpaper, obituary info. written on pastedown, off-setting to frontendpaper, half-title, frontispiece etching of Mr. Horn by Noel Wallace, illustrated, Addendum, 321pp, contents very clean & tight. . 1927.
