Glasgow: Brown, Son & Ferguson, Limited, 1933 Enlarged Edition, 61pp, [3], staple bound in stiff paper covers, illustrated throughout. Covers in Fair Condition, showing edge wear, stains and an ink stamp for "T. S. & J. D. Negus, 69 Pearl St., New York". The Negus family firm were proprietors of Maritime Chronometers and Nautical Instruments, with Robert Perry taking one to the North Pole, and Richard E. Byrd taking a Negus Chronometer to the South Pole. The firm was founded in 1848 and continued until 1963, being passed down through the family over generations.
