Bound in medium brown cloth, cover illustration is a large signpost with the sign being a paper paste-on country scene, all 16 full-page black and white illustrations are present, 301pp. Old embossment on title page indicates was former owned by the Hollywood Inn (Yonkers, NY), call number on spine effectively removed, remnants of bookplates and call number envelop on endpapers. Cover has light wear (top of spine frayed, tips of outer corners just worn through); binding tight and square, text clean and unmarked.
