Autobiographical novel based on Woolf's own family visits to St. Ives in Cornwall during the summers of her childhood. Considered '' one of the finest novels of the 20th century'' since its original publication in 1927, this is the Modern Library Edition from 1937 (#217), with a Foreword by Terence Holliday. 310 pp. With light blue cloth-covered boards , red title box to center edged & lettered in gilt to both front & spine, crisp lettering & ML symbol. Small 12mo hardcover is in Near Fine condition: nearly as bright & clean as when first issued, with modest page tanning, unmarked save for former owners' names & address to verso of ffep. The unclipped DJ (slightly later issue, with $1.10 price, ,still no zip code to coupon, dark blue spine background, higher titles listed on reverse) is VG+: bright & clean, with just a tad of chipping to both ends of spine & corners; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover free!
