Mild dampstaining to some board edges and preliminary leaves; rear board somewhat mottled. A tight and decent first edition. Author pens inscription on front flyleaf "For Dr. L.L. Davis / Chicago, Ills. / old-time friend of the author" -- then applies rubberstamped signature beneath. Go figure. Uncommon. MONAGHAN 2523.
